Valentine’s Day can stir up many emotions.

For some, it is filled with joy and celebration. For others, it can feel heavy with expectations, comparisons, or reminders of what once was. But today, I want to gently remind you of something eternal and unshakable: you are never alone — even if you are physically by yourself.

There are so many expectations surrounding this day. Society tells us how we should celebrate, what we should receive, and how we should feel. But you do not have to feel pressured into honoring Valentine’s Day — or any occasion — in a way that does not align with your heart.

You belong to God.

He gave the ultimate sacrifice so that you could have life. That is love in its purest and most powerful form.

When asked about the greatest commandment, Jesus responded:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…” This is the first and greatest commandment.”
Matthew 22:36–40 (NIV)

Our first love is Him. And before we ever loved Him, He loved us first.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…”
John 3:16 (NIV)

That love is not conditional. It is not seasonal. It is not dependent upon relationship status, human affirmation, or worldly validation. It is steady. It is sacrificial. It is eternal.

No matter what you are feeling or facing today, please know you are loved. God also promised:
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

So if the noise of the world feels loud — quiet it.
If your thoughts try to convince you that you are forgotten — reject that lie.
If loneliness attempts to creep in — remember who walks beside you.

You are seen.
You are chosen.
You are loved beyond measure. 🙏🏽💜🦋🌻🫶🏾
